At Alphabet Play Center, all our teachers are native speakers or native fluent teachers who have CELTA and TEFL certifications. Not only they have these certificates but they also have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom and English Language and Literature university diplomas.
We are the first and the only center in Bulgaria which has teachers at this level.

Celta/Tefl Certificates
Even in language schools in Plovdiv and Sofia, only a few centers offer English classes from native speakers. The native speakers who teach these classes ONLY have Celta or Tefl certificates.
These certificates are easy to achieve by completing online lessons and a basic online test. Anyone can pay and obtain them.
Therefore, these teachers with these certificates are ONLY allowed to teach English to non-native speakers. They are NOT allowed to teach native speakers in countries like the United Kingdom and the United States.
QTS Degrees
On the other hand, to have QTS status, educators go through another two years of rigorous training.
This training is designed, controlled and evaluated by the British Government. It is one of the most comprehensive teacher training programs in the world.
Not only this, but most QTS teachers also hold Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in English Language and Literature.
QTS teachers are NOT JUST English teachers. They are educators who are allowed to teach English from primary school to university levels; both native and non-native speakers.
International Curriculums
Moreover, QTS teachers have experience in international English curriculums such as the IB and the AP. These curriculums are the required diploma programs to get accepted into top universities like Harvard and Cambridge as well as mid-level universities across Europe.
BOTH of our founders have Celta/Tefl certificates and QTS. They also hold English Language and Literature University Degrees along with many other education and learning based certificates.
They also have 25+ years of experience in teaching English, having founded English Schools in Turkey and Cyprus as well as English Language Centers in China, Azerbaijan and Kuwait.
